U.S. Delivery information

We ship our products to residential and commercial street addresses Mondays-Fridays. We make every effort to ship all orders that we receive before 12 noon the same day. From then, transit time will depend on the carrier, the service class and overall package volume the carriers are being asked to handle. We do not ship products on weekends or legal holidays. You’ll have an opportunity to see the various shipping options and make your selection before completing your order. Sorry, but we cannot ship to Post Office boxes. We offer three delivery options; Standard, Expedited and for certain products Premium Handling.

Most orders received before 12 noon for in-stock items are shipped the same day

Actual delivery time varies based on two factors; our order processing time including credit card processing and then the time it takes the delivery company to transport the item from the warehouse to your door. Then, you'll need to allow the delivery company time to deliver the package from our warehouse to your door. If you order multiple items in one order, we’ll ship each of them as they are available.

Packages up to 70 lbs delivered to residences are delivered via UPS or FedEx Home Delivery

We ship via UPS or FedEx Home Delivery depending on destination, time and current service levels by each of those companies. Both of those companies deliver seven days a week depending on location. This means that your package can be delivered anytime during those days/hours.Saturday and Sunday deliveries are not available in some rural areas. UPS and FedEx both deliver from 8 AM until 8 PM. They do not deliver on legal holidays. It is not possible to schedule delivery times but you’ll be provided with a tracking number so you can look up what day your order will come to you.

If you select Express overnight or second-day delivery

FedEx Express and UPS two-day/overnight delivers Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 8 PM to residences and 9 AM - 5 PM to businesses. So selecting overnight delivery on a Friday or second day delivery on a Thursday means you'll receive your order on Monday, not Saturday. Carriers considers legal holidays as weekend days and do not operate on those days.

If you're ordering on Friday and would like delivery on Saturday

Saturday delivery is possible in many, but not all areas. For this reason, if you're placing an order on a Friday and would like next day delivery on Saturday, you'll need to call us at 800-704-8432 to arrange. Note that Saturday overnight delivery costs are usually substantial.

Packages weighing between 70 and 150 lbs including most scooters and delivered to homes and businesses are delivered via UPS or FedEx

FedEx and UPS delivers Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 8 PM and weekends to many areas. This means that your package can be delivered anytime during those days/hours. It is not possible to schedule delivery times but you’ll be provided with a tracking number so you can look up what day your order will come to you. 

For these packages of up to 150 lbs, the delivery person will bring the carton to the place at the delivery address where packages are usually delivered. You may be able to ask them to "bring that box around to the garage door", etc. and in some cases they'll be able to accomodate you. 

Signature requirement for high value deliveries

Products selling for more than $200 will require a signature from someone who is at the delivery address at the time of delivery. If you're not at home, the delivery company will leave a note. You will be able to sign that note and leave it for the driver. The delivery company will return the next day, take the note and leave your package. Please note that if you do this, you will be responsible should your package be stolen. 

General delivery information about scooter, power wheelchair and lift-recliner deliveries

We stock many of the most popular models of scooters in our own warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida. For deliveries to destinations in the Southeast including Florida and parts of Georgia, your purchase can be delivered in just a few days or less. 

When your product ships, we will send you a tracking number that you will be able to use to see what day your scooter will be delivered. August 2021 Update: Nearly every delivery company is experiencing shortages of manpower and vehicles. This has resulted in longer shipping times than we would like and in a few isolated cases, shipments that cannot be tracked but then are delivered.

Power mobility scooters and other high value products will require that someone at your address sign for the delivery. Some models ship in multiple cartons. While we ship all cartons at the same time, occasionally the cartons will become separated during shipping. So if you don't receive all your boxes, please wait a day for the others to arrive. 

We always suggest that you have some help- a second able-bodied person to help receive your purchase, unpack it and perform any final assembly steps required.

Scooters and power wheelchairs

Lift-recliners come in two pieces; the base and back, plus power cord, hand control, etc. The base of most lift-recliners weighs 150 lbs or more. While the base will fit through most doorways, it will require two people to move.

Assembly and inside delivery service

If you feel you would not be able to unpack and handle your new purchase and you have nobody to assist you, many models are available to be delivered to you, already unpacked, assembled, ready to ride and delivered to the exact place you wish for an additional charge.

What if my product arrives damaged or is missing parts?

If your new scooter, power wheelchair, lift-recliner or other product does not arrive in new condition in every way or is missing parts, we will make it right. Should a claim need to be filed with the delivery company, we will need your cooperation and assistance, but filing a claim for loss or damage with the shipper is our responsibility, not yours. 

Cartons often can look a little worn at the time of delivery. They are designed to protect their contents during shipping and they do a great job at that. Do not refuse a delivery because of carton damage. Just note the damage in writing when you sign for it. Proceed with unpacking and inspection. FedEx and UPS drivers delivering scooters will generally bring the carton containing your scooter to the location at your residence where packages that require a signature are customarily delivered. They cannot bring a scooter carton inside but if you ask courteously, the driver may “bring it around back”, place it by the garage, etc. They generally will not bring it up any stairs. If you believe you'll need this service choose our inside delivery and set up option when you order.

Delivery of scooters, power chairs and lift-recliners weighing more than 150 lbs

For products over 150 lbs and when you have selected our economical curbside delivery, your item will be delivered via freight companies including UPS Freight, FedEx Freight, R&L Carriers and others. As with smaller shipments, you'll receive a tracking number that you will be able to use to see where your shipment is. Once your product arrives at the freight terminal near your home town, in most cases, the freight company will try to contact you via phone or text to let you know when they would like to deliver your item. We must have a working, answered daytime telephone number to pass along to the freight company. When you know your delivery is imminent, make sure you answer your telephone and check your text messages.

Single family homes, apartments, condominiums, commercial businesses... every delivery situation is different. The freight company will come to you with a truck that has a lift on the back and the driver will lower your item in its protective carton to the pavement.

Next, you’ll need to be capable of or have someone capable of opening the carton and assembling the scooter. In most cases, assembly consists of plugging the already-charged batteries in and putting the seat and basket in place. Review the instructions and then you can ride the scooter right off the cardboard/pallet. If you feel that you would not be able to do these things, see our inside delivery and setup option below.

Delivery options and costs

We offer several delivery options depending on your need and budget. 

Economy shipping

Economy shipping is generally free for orders over $100.00 delivered to the lower 48 states.

Two Day Shipping on selected products

Certain products are available in two business days at extra charge. Note that items ordered on a Thursday for which two-day delivery is selected will be delivered on the following Monday and items ordered on a Friday for which two day delivery is selected will be delivered on the following Tuesday.

Overnight Shipping on selected products

Certain products are available overnight for next day delivery at extra charge. Note that items ordered on a Friday for which overnight next day delivery is selected will be delivered on the following Tuesday.

Inside delivery and setup

For many models of power mobility scooters, power wheelchairs and lift-recliners, inside delivery and setup is a convenient way to have your product delivered to the room of your choice and ready to use. Products are unboxed, assembled, battery charged and then brought out to you. Scooters could be placed in your garage or mudroom. Lift-recliners could be brought right into your living room. Inside delivery delivery and setup is not available for all products or to all destinations. In some areas, we deliver the item to your home and then a technician comes out to unbox and assemble. If this is a service you need, and it is available for your product, just add it to your order right on the product page. If there are any issues, we will call or email you.

About Sales Taxes

Most products Living Well Stores sells including power mobility scooters are exempt from sales tax when shipped to all states except California. For California, we are required to collect sales tax unless you provide us with a prescription or note in which a clinician specifies that the purchaser would benefit from the product being purchased.
